Budget Envelopes app good for

I Installed the free edition of this app on my ipad and found that I really liked the app so I decided to upgrade to the paid version from within the app. My only concern is that on my iPhone didnt get the upgrade simultaneously. I saw the option to restore purchase from within the app on my iphone so I chose that, and entered my iTunes ID/password. I only hope I dont get charged twice. I checked my iTunes purchases but I only saw the free version listed as installed.... The paid version is still listed as available... Dont mean to be picky but I like to see what app I have installed so I never duplicate the purchase (in the event I ever have to restore my device). Gave this app 4 stars cause I didnt like upgrading the app to paid version from within the app.... I should have gone directly through iTunes. Fix the upgrade within the app so all our devices upgrade simultaneously, and fix it so iTunes show I have the paid version installed! Because of this issue, I cant even post a review on the paid app page cause iTunes thinks I have not bought this app and wont allow me to post there!!!! How can I review paid app version if iTunes doesnt recognize my in app upgrade purchase??? I have tried several budget apps and found this one works well and pretty easy to use and set up. It syncs, is password protected and does what it is supposed to.

Absolutely the easiest way to track my familys spending. Have been using this for 2 weeks. Easily modified, customized. Upgraded after using demo and did not regret the 99 cents. I can tell in a matter of seconds how my whole budget is due to the easy to use format. A bit dramatic, but I think this will change my familys finances!

This app is fantastic for keeping our familys spending on track!!! We r on our way to our financial goals because of the family sharing in the money management.

My wife and I use this app to great effect. It is just detailed enough to let us know if we are on target and not cluttered with a lot of features we will not use. The Budget Envelopes help us set goals for spending and the app is designed to measure your spending against this goal. The upgraded version syncs easily between different devices with even with different Apple accounts. The only caveat is that we needed to upgrade to pro for each device, but $2 seemed reasonable enough. This allows us to share a budget and keep our combined spending monitored and under control. Unlike some other apps, it does not require banking info to be input, for those who feel uncomfortable with that (like me). My only worry is that one day this app will stop being supported, as the company does not seem huge. But until then I will continue to use and enjoy this app, and I would recommend it for you too!

Some bad moments

Doesnt work, sloppy updates, poor support. Dont waste your time or money.

Beware of downloading this app. It took my $ to get the full version and then asked me to download the full version again. It only gave me access to half of the things promised with the full version. I was able to sync and create numerous budgets. However, it only let me put in 10 transactions under my budget category and then asked me to download full version again!! Purchase at your own risk, this app is a total rip-off! The support page email comes back as domain not found.

Have had this app for a couple if budget cycles now and have had lots of issues with Budget Envelopes not rolling over properly and also problems with it syncing over devices properly. The automatic transactions didnt work on both devices as well. Needs lots of work. I would not recommend this app at all.

Bought the full version and has many bugs. Sent many emails for support, got no response. Dont waiste your time and money on this application.

the link to the developer website won’t work to report a problem this app worked great for a long time, and now it won’t sync. what is going on?

I really have to give it to them for organization and setup. Its laid out the way I was looking for. I love that it has a roll over feature an that I can put in weekly, monthly, etc. I used the app more a couple years ago and then for some reason I got away from it. I just started up again this week and I have noticed that its crashing every time I open and I have to restart my phone to get it to open. I am fearful of the roll over feature because I remember that was a problem before. I really LOVE what the app is supposed to do, I think that the developers need to put some more work and then it will be an amazing app I would strongly recommend. Edited to add, the roll over isnt working and cant get ahold of anyone for support. Shouldnt be on the App Store anymore if you cant get support!!!
